Bald Point Oysters are grown in the Hood Canal in Washington State just north of the Hama Hama River. Bland Point's are a beach cultured oyster raised on tidal beaches with either sandy or rocky bottoms. Beach raised oysters tend to be heartier tan other oysters as they have hard, sturdy shells which shuckers like to work with. Bald Point Oysters are small, have a low brininess with a sweet flavor and mild musky finish.
